Director's Statement
I deeply empathized with the women in the Century Project exhibit. As I listened to their voices, through my eyes, I heard many stories from my own encounters. As a daughter, a mother, a sister, a lover, a friend, a cousin, a neighbor, musician, artist and educator, I was compelled to take action to share the women of the Century Project with others. As a counselor, I supported many young women through their own growth process, while they identified inherent pain and residual effects associated with complexities of body image and as they moved toward change.

Most recently, I have been working for working for a large public school system, leading a multilingual and cross-cultural team of educators as they build relationships and work with families who are nurturing and raising children in a socially toxic world. I have produced videos for the purpose of communicating compelling messages for education and to prepare families through the power of stories. Through this powerful medium, the families are able to offer their testimony, feel affirmed and trust that their voices will be heard.

I am hooked on the power of film as a way to share others' realities, to educate and to propel change. Now as an independent filmmaker (Ten Feet Tall Productions, LLC) I am embracing my first big project, Bare Honesty, which matches both my own passion and my life experiences. I have spent time with Frank and women of the Century Project. I have been trusted and let into their private world. I have experienced the process of women being transformed through experiencing the exhibit. I have witnessed women asking Frank to photograph them. I have read their words and seen their faces. I have felt their pain and passion. I understand their courage. I have identified a production team for the documentary project and have secured permission from Frank Cordelle, Century Project, to document the important work he has done and will continue to do.

In Bare Honesty, we follow the lives of several women who are transformed by posing nude for Frank Cordelle and the Century Project. We find out how they decide to pose nude, why they do it, and what changes occur from the experience. We uncover the educational, therapeutic,socio-political and controversial layers inherent to the Century Project as the exhibits travels nation-wide to touch the lives of thousands of individuals.
